About us
A removals firm built for moving out of Essex
We cover the county, and we are strongest on the moves that leave it — because six major roads meet here and most firms in Essex are not set up to use them.
Essex is a strange county to work in. In forty minutes you can go from a planned new town built to keep vehicles away from houses, to a private road in the forest belt with a six-bedroom house on it, to a bungalow on a seafront, to a timber-framed cottage down a lane with a weight limit.
Nothing about those jobs is the same except the principle: find out what the access actually is, bring the right vehicle and the right number of people, and protect what you are carrying.
Where we go deep, and where we do not
Seven areas have pages of their own on this site: Harlow, the Epping Forest belt, Rayleigh and Rochford, the Tendring coast, Thurrock, Maldon and the Blackwater, and north Essex around Saffron Walden.
Chelmsford, Colchester, Brentwood, Braintree, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea are covered in proper local depth by our sister site, essexremovalsuk.com. We work in all six and will quote for a move there without hesitation — we simply do not publish a second, thinner page about a town somebody in this network already covers well.
Why long distance is what we are best at
The M25, M11, A12, A120 and A13 all meet in this county. That is unusual, and it means a load out of Brentwood or Thurrock is on the strategic road network within minutes.
Most Essex removals firms are organised around moving people around Essex. We are organised around the ones going to Glasgow, Truro, Manchester or the South Coast — which is a different kind of planning, a different conversation about dates, and a different decision about direct versus shared loads.
What we are not
Not the cheapest quote you will get, because the cheapest quote is usually the one that has not counted the loft. Not a broker passing your job to whoever bids lowest. And we do not display accreditations, ratings or press coverage we have not earned — if a claim appears on this site, we can stand behind it.
How we work
Four things we hold to
Survey before quote, every time
We will not price a household move off a postcode and a bedroom count. It produces a number that is wrong often enough to be dishonest, and the correction always arrives on moving day when you have no options left.
The bad news comes early
If the wardrobe will not come down the stairs, if the lane will not take a lorry, if the tide means your Mersea date has to move — you hear it at the survey, while you can still do something about it.
We say when somebody else is better placed
Six Essex towns are covered in local depth by our sister site, and we point people there rather than competing for the same search with a thinner page. It costs us the occasional job and it is still the right call.
No numbers we cannot stand behind
No prices before we have seen the work, and no transit times that pretend every route and every load are the same. Your written quote carries the specifics of your move.
Next step
Talk to us about your move
No obligation and no pressure. If we are not the right firm for what you need, we will say so — and usually point you at who is.
